Eye surgery is one of the most demanding and selective (for example, only 100,000 surgeons in the world are capable of performing cataract surgery using the traditional method), while at the same time being one of the most necessary (cataracts are the leading cause of blindness in the world). Faced with this paradox, we chose to act: Rx by Helix Surgical, the first femtolaser instrument to perform a perfect capsulotomy for cataract surgery, offering a faster learning curve at an attractive cost.

François Salin
Pioneer of femtosecond laser technologies during his years as a research director at CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research in France). François is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d’Optique and holds a PhD in Physics. François is the incoming president of the French Optical Society. He is a successful entrepreneur in the field of lasers (+17 years of experience) including 7 years in the medical field.

Pierre Deslandes
Graduated from the Institut d’Optique Graduate School in optical engineering, holds a PhD in laser physics and is a strong believer in frugal innovation. Pierre has more than 15 years of experience in innovation and development of laser, optical and electronic systems in various companies.

Florent Deloison
Florent has more than 15 years of experience in the creation of new laser processes in the field of healthcare and in particular in ophthalmology.

Bertrand has nearly 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, particularly in cataract surgery (Carl Zeiss Meditec).
